0 Beds Pilot House is a reserve-level 3 storey contemporary family town house located in the heart of Cowes, within a moments walk of M&S Food Hall, Cowes Yacht Haven and the High Street.
This beautifully spacious home comprises of a master bedroom on the top floor with a kingsize bed and a day bed with trundle bed underneath and en-suite shower over the bath and toilet and a double bed with bunk beds with ensuite shower and a ensuite twin bedroom on the ground floor.
The open plan kitchen/dining and living area on the first floor is the hub of the home which has lovely views of the Marina and Solent. The kitchen is well equipped and has a breakfast bar with stools, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, drinks fridge, dishwasher and coffee machine.
The comfortable living area has a Freesat Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and Xbox with a selection of games perfect for when you just want to relax at home.
French doors lead out to a garden area with artificial lawn which makes this a fun and safe space for children to play, or for the grown ups to simply enjoy a BBQ on a sunny day. A perfect home from home for families or groups.
The Pilot House is within easy reach of the town’s shops, pubs, bars and restaurants - with The Garden, Smoking Lobster and The Heron all spots to dine in that Swysh highly recommend. The Red Funnel foot passenger ferry to Southampton is just a minute or two walk away, whilst an M&S Food Hall, as well as an independent butcher, baker, fishmonger and craft beer shop, can all be found close by.
Cowes is the Isle of Wight’s nautical capital, home to internationally famous yacht clubs and some of the biggest sailing events around. In recent years the town has developed a reputation for top-class restaurants and tasteful homeware retailers stretching across Birmingham Road, Shooters Hill, the High Street and Bath Road. There are beaches and seaside walks to the west of The Pilot House, whilst venturing inland will bring you to the Georgian-era Northwood House - which hosts important local events such as The Wight Proms and the Isle of Wight Literary Festival. There’s also a chain ferry which crosses the River Medina to East Cowes, ideal if you’re planning to head up York Avenue to visit Queen Victoria’s former coastal palace at Osborne.

October 2024I recently stayed at this Airbnb, and it was an unforgettable experience! The spacious rooms were even better than we imagined—beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and with so much natural light. As a group of 6 we had all the space we needed to spread out and feel completely at home. The absolute highlight, though, was the amazing view. From the large windows we could see stunning panoramic landscapes that stretched for miles as well as the outdoor space, which came equipped with a BBQ and some activities such as badminton. It was the perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee or relax in the evening while taking in the sunset. The hosts were absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, they have been incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They provided great recommendations for local spots to visit via a welcome book and were always available to answer any questions, yet gave us complete privacy to enjoy the space. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s the perfect getaway.

June 2024Had a wonderful stay here in West Cowes. Handy base for travel into Newport and rest of the Island. Off street parking on the drive was handy. Could walk to the shops and restaurants. The property suited our groups needs as each bedroom had its own private toilet and shower. Used the kitchen a few times which was well equipped. Had no issues during the stay and would stay again.

November 2023Wonderful service from Swysh, very quick communication from start to end. Booked our ferry for us and changed our return ferry so we could avoid arrival of storm Ciara! Great house and location, lots to see and do although many of the cycling routes were water logged and not passable in places. Would definitely like to return in better weather conditions and explore the cycling and walking routes when not under water. Thank you

Outdoor space was lovely for the bbq we had which wouldn’t have been possible without the amenities that were provided. The beds were very comfortable and spacious. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anyone who is wanting to stay here! Messaged the host about a later check out as our ferry home was later on and they were so helpful as they worked with us to be able to stay a few hours extra so we had extra time to sort our belongings and make sure the accommodation was left in a clean and respectful manner. We are already looking at booking this place again for next year and I cannot wait. Thank you so much for such an amazing stay and experience.

The house is very well kept with lots of space in the 3 bedrooms and living area. There is ample space for off street parking for 2 vehicles. Thanks you for an enjoyable, effortless stay.
