The open plan kitchen/dining and living area on the first floor is the hub of the home which has lovely views of the Marina and Solent. The kitchen is well equipped and has a breakfast bar with stools, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, drinks fridge, dishwasher and coffee machine.
The comfortable living area has a Freesat Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker and Xbox with a selection of games perfect for when you just want to relax at home.
French doors lead out to a garden area with artificial lawn which makes this a fun and safe space for children to play, or for the grown ups to simply enjoy a BBQ on a sunny day. A perfect home from home for families or groups.
The Pilot House is within easy reach of the town’s shops, pubs, bars and restaurants - with The Garden, Smoking Lobster and The Heron all spots to dine in that Swysh highly recommend. The Red Funnel foot passenger ferry to Southampton is just a minute or two walk away, whilst an M&S Food Hall, as well as an independent butcher, baker, fishmonger and craft beer shop, can all be found close by.
Cowes is the Isle of Wight’s nautical capital, home to internationally famous yacht clubs and some of the biggest sailing events around. In recent years the town has developed a reputation for top-class restaurants and tasteful homeware retailers stretching across Birmingham Road, Shooters Hill, the High Street and Bath Road. There are beaches and seaside walks to the west of The Pilot House, whilst venturing inland will bring you to the Georgian-era Northwood House - which hosts important local events such as The Wight Proms and the Isle of Wight Literary Festival. There’s also a chain ferry which crosses the River Medina to East Cowes, ideal if you’re planning to head up York Avenue to visit Queen Victoria’s former coastal palace at Osborne.
