Arrive via the private gravel driveway with off-road parking before stepping into the impressive period-tiled entrance hall, where Victorian elegance sets the tone throughout the home.
To the right is the spacious triple-aspect sitting room, flooded with natural light through original cast-iron leaded windows overlooking Bonchurch Village Road. Comfortable furnishings and an attractive period fireplace with a gas coal-effect fire create the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring.
To the left of the hallway is the welcoming cottage-style kitchen and dining area, fully equipped for self-catering with fitted units, a traditional range-style gas cooker and ample space for leisurely breakfasts or family meals.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a separate utility room with a washing machine and gas central heating boiler. A door leads directly to the enclosed courtyard garden – a peaceful suntrap where you can enjoy your morning coffee accompanied by birdsong or relax with a glass of wine in the evening.
The ground floor also benefits from a modern shower room complete with a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.
Upstairs
A beautifully maintained staircase leads to a bright galleried landing, illuminated by an original cast-iron leaded window that fills both floors with natural light.
The principal bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, a beautiful bay window overlooking Bonchurch Village Road and an ornate original fireplace, creating a calm and relaxing retreat.
The second bedroom offers a comfortable double bed, an original feature fireplace and a cast-iron leaded window overlooking the courtyard. It also benefits from its own en-suite bathroom with a stunning freestanding claw-foot bath, WC and wash basin—perfect for a long, relaxing soak after a day exploring the Island.

For those who enjoy walking, there is a pleasant walk into nearby Ventnor, where you’ll discover independent boutiques, cafés, restaurants, traditional pubs and a bustling beachfront.
Bonchurch itself is steeped in history and has long attracted writers, artists and creatives. Among its notable former residents was the celebrated Victorian poet Algernon Charles Swinburne, who spent his childhood at nearby East Dene.
There is a strict no pets policy and no smoking, vapes or e-cigarettes are allowed on the premises. Candles are not to be used.
