The J House is a large, stylishly refurbished 6 bedroom townhouse with roof terrace with views of the Solent and parking for one car in the heart of nautical Cowes. With six bedrooms (two master bedrooms are en-suite) and a further five bathrooms.

The space

On the ground floor, the kitchen’s fully equipped with modern appliances, so if you’re keen to sample the local produce with a home cooked meal you’ll be in your element. The dining area seats up to twelve and sliding doors lead out into a private courtyard area with patio furniture and outdoor shower. You'll also find a comfortable living room with large flat screen Smart TV and DVD player, perfect for those times when you’re content to curl up with a book and enjoy some peace and quiet. The bedrooms are just as impressive as the rest of the house. Four of the them have zip and link beds and flat screen TVs and two of them have adults sized bunk beds. On the top floor there is a further lounge with a furnished balcony with amazing sea views and Cowes Marina.

The neighbourhood

The J House is within easy walking distance of the nearby restaurants, M&S Foodhall and of course the marinas and yacht clubs that we all know and love Cowes for.

Interaction with guests

The Swysh Team are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. We're only a phone call or message away. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival.

Other things to note

There is parking for one car on the paved area in front of the house but please be extremely careful when parking here. It's a very tight space and all 4 wheels need to be on the paved area to prevent you for getting a fine for parking on the pavement. There is also paid parking at Northwood House car park a short walk from the house.

The property will be available from 4pm on your day of arrival and check out time on the day of departure is 10am.

The property is equipped with everything you will need including utilities, bed linen and towels.

amazing location in the centre of West Cowes. walkable to all areas of Cowes and shops. one parking space at property and Swysh advised of the nearest free street parking. house was extremely clean and very well furnished and supplied. (2 ovens. perfect for cooking for 12). we felt at home right away, we all slept great and despite filling the place you never feel on top of each other thanks to the en suite bathrooms and the 2 lounges. 2 lounge rooms was great. one with a big TV and one at the top with great views. a great chill out room and you can't hear the TV from there. Suzanne from Swysh was incredibly helpful despite it being the Xmas period. we had a few potential complications due to covid and ferry times and they were incredibly helpful. we also got great rates for the ferry from Southampton via them as well. thought of everything. we had a great 5 days exploring the island, doing some walks and then relaxing in the J house. went too quickly, would love to return. thanks Suzanne and Swysh team for making it a hassle free and relaxing week away.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The attention to detail with regards to the quality of finish and furniture to create a warm home away from home feeling was done to perfection. The owners have thought of everything here to make your stay the best it could be the house is well equipped with luxury towels bedding and more. There is enough space to be part of the group or get some quiet time. Each room has all you need and extremely comfy. The bunk beds are very sturdy ideal for kids or adults. I would 100% plan to come back and stay here as the whole family gave the place 10/10.

We had a fantastic time at the ‘J House’ - extremely comfortable, homely, but very stylishly furnished and ornamented. The house is equipped with pretty much everything you are likely to require. Location wise, the house is ideally situated, a good size m&s food over the road, but a sainsburys local less than a 5 minute walk. A 2 minute walk onto W.Cowes fantastic high street with lots of small independent shops, great pubs and restaurants - although worth booking ahead during busy times. Despite being so close to the centre of W.Cowes, getting out of town is straight forward meaning you’re little more than a 30-40min drive to anywhere on the island. Slight draw back is the on-site parking being quite small, but this was little issue as you can load / unload easily outside the property and there’s a large Pay and Display car park a 5 min walk up the road (with options for long term parking up to 7 days and beyond). A fantastic experience, great location - would highly recommend!

This was a last minute booking for our family of 10. Checking in was easy and Suzanne was very helpful booking ferry crossings and being available for any queries during our stay. The house is beautiful, comfortable and we had everything we needed.

We had a good week in Cowes staying at this lovely house, all very clean and modern. Highly recommended. We had great communication from Suzanne when there was an issue with the house and it got resolved quickly. All round a good holiday - thank-you!!
